Today we will teach you How to create a DNSSEC record for your domain from cPanel with this simple step by step tutorial.

What is DNSSEC?

DNSSEC (Domain Name System Security Extensions) adds an additional security layer to the current protocol of a domain’s DNS servers. DNSSEC uses a set of extensions, such as integrity and authenticity features, so that you can verify that a translation from domain name to IP address is legitimate and authorized by the domain owner and has not been modified during translation.

Creating the DNNSEC record in cPanel

The first step is to connect to your cPanel account.

Once you are connected, navigate to the “Domains” module and click on “Zone Editor”.

Within “Zone Editor”, click on “DNSSEC” of the domain you want to create the key.

Click on “+ CREATE KEY”.

A pop up window will appear. Confirm the creation of the key by clicking on “CREATE”.

Once the DNSSEC key is created, it will show you a summary with the generated data.

The last step is to register the data with the registrar of your domains. If you do not know how to perform this step, contact your domain provider’s support.
